Concept
Create your own beautiful chain in three stages. 1 - Form, cut and solder simple links to get comfortable with soldering techniques. 2 - Learn several variations and ways to make a uniquely designed chain. 3 - Have lots of work time to finish your very own chain!

Great for beginning chain-makers to acquire knowledge and grow your skills, or for more advanced jewelers to push your chain vocabulary further and create chains that carry your design aesthetic throughout each piece. Leave this workshop with lots of samples and/or a full chain if desired.

INSTRUCTOR
As an interdisciplinary artist, Heather Nuber’s work focuses on the dynamics of personal relationships and social interactions through the exploration of form and material. Heather earned her BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and MFA from Indiana University. In addition, she has studied at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, Peters Valley School of Craft, and Touchstone Center for Craft, and participated in several residencies, including Peninsula School of Art's. An avid instructor, Heather teaches workshops, semester-long courses, and multi-week intensives across the country.
