Registering for a Workshop

  • What types of workshops do you offer?

Our summer and fall program features 1- and 4-day workshops for adults in the areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, metals, ceramics, and digital photography led by visiting faculty from around the country. Our winter and spring program features 1-day workshops on weekends.

We also offer 3-hour Try-It adult workshops throughout the year in all different media, for a chance to try something new!

  • Which workshop is right for me?

We recommend considering your skill level, preferred medium, and personal goals. Our website allows you to filter by skill level and medium, which will help you narrow down your choices. If you’d like further guidance, give us a call! We’d love to talk to you about your art making experience and interests to find the right workshop for you and your schedule.

  • How do I know what skill level I am?

    In general terms:
Level 1 workshops are for first timers of a medium to learn the nuts and bolts.
Level 2 workshops help students build confidence and learn to work independently.
Level 3 workshops provide students with feedback and set future artistic goals.
Level 4 workshops explore the strengths and limitations of a students’ practice.
All Level workshops are open to students of every level of skill and experience.
On the page of each workshop, you will see more specific notes regarding skill level.

During Summer and Fall programming, students have the option to add our Workshop Meal Plan to our workshops. The Meal Plan includes 1 grab-n-go deli sandwich from Fish Creek Market, 2 snacks, and 1 drink each day. The cost of the Meal Plan is $20/day, for the length of your workshop. We cannot accommodate custom orders or dietary restrictions.

Students with food allergies or dietary restrictions are strongly encouraged to bring their own lunch. Packed lunches can be kept in a personal cooler at your workstation, or in the fridge in the new student kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave and is stocked with paper products. Light snacks and sparkling waters are available for purchase throughout the day. Most students take lunch under the gazebo out front or on the picnic tables on the great lawn.
