Concept

Watercolor can be a wild adventure or a relaxing, fun comfortable ride... or both. In this workshop, build confidence with the medium that is best known for its lively spontaneity. Create fresh, dynamic paintings as you learn how to give up control and allow watercolor to be its best self; fluid and loose.

Experience

Each day Dan demonstrates how to take a big brush approach to painting and leave the details behind. Many photo references are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own. Plenty of guidance is provided, as well as a casual group critique to close the workshop each day.

Skill Level

Basic watercolor experience is required. This workshop is designed to build your confidence.

INSTRUCTOR

Dan Danielson’s first ever paying art job was drawing products for Walgreens ads in The Suburban LIFE newspaper in Chicago as a teenager. Fast forward, he now teaches workshops throughout the Midwest and continues to exhibit and earn awards as a Signature Member of both the Illinois Watercolor Society and Transparent Watercolor Society of America. You should also know; Dan is a jogger and walker following an avid marathon running hobby. He is proud to say that his personal best time would have been a world record in 1971.
