Join Peninsula State Park’s Artist-in-Residence Amanda Lovelee for a hands-on art experience celebrating the park’s plant life! Create beautiful cyanotype prints using local plants, which will be transformed into pennants honoring the hard-growing greenery that helps make the park magical.
You’ll be guided by a park naturalist to meet you “plant partner” - a special plant you can cheer on with words of encouragement and support. Leave behind your pennant message for your leafy friend and contribute to a joyful community art display.
Come back Tuesday, August 19th for Amanda’s culminating project, “HOMECOMING” - a pep rally for the planet, where we’re celebrate nature with creativity, enthusiasm, and care.
Both events invite visitors to deepen their connection with the natural world through joy, art, and appreciation. Because with care comes conservation - and every living thing deserves a little pep talk.
This event is free and open to the public.
