HOMECOMING: Peninsula State Park
Homecoming: Peninsula State Park is a joyful day of collective energy and celebration - honoring one of Door County’s smallest yet mightiest neighbors: the Cherrystone Drop Snail. This public art event reimagines the classic sports pep rally as a spirited tribute to environmental resilience. Instead of cheering for a team, we’ll cheer for snails, for the park, and for our shared environmental future.
Blending art, science, and community, this event recognizes both the strength of nature and the people who live alongside it. Join us as we celebrate together - lifting up the snails and one another as we continue to grow, adapt, and reimagine what’s possible.
Homecoming transforms climate adaptation into a communal ritual - rooted in joy, care, and connection. It’s a celebration and a call to action, inviting people of all ages to gather, plant, and grow hope together.
Interested in joining us? Meet us in the Nicolet Beach Parking Lot at 3pm. From there, we will parade to the White Cedar Nature Center for a pep rally. Return to Nicolet Beach to enjoy food trucks and beachside treats.
This event is free and open to the public.
