In this workshop, students learn how to take advantage of the unique qualities of watercolor. Exercises help young artists develop skills in observation, contour drawing, and watercolor application. Learn how to mix color, paint washes, add texture, and combine watercolor with other media to create unique and unexpected effects. Landscapes, portraits, narrative scenes, and abstract compositions are explored throughout the week.
