Try It: Throwing on the Wheel with PenArt Faculty

Concept and Experience

Designed for those interested in making a piece on the potter's wheel for the first time, this workshop guides you through the process of wedging clay, centering on the wheel, and creating a small bowl or cup. Learn about the firing process and select glazes for your completed pieces. Develop new skills and the motivation to continue exploring your ceramic interests. PenArt provides all of the tools and materials needed.

New this year! Join us for a three-hour Try It session in the morning or choose to extend your day through an afternoon Fake It Til You Make It session from 1-4pm to continue practicing your skills, build confidence, and work toward more finished pieces.
