Students receive one-on-one guidance and work in small groups catered to their individual approaches and mediums to create a painting in a fun, encouraging, and experimental setting.
Skill Level
A basic foundation in your painting medium of choice (oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache or digital) is required.
Instructor
Cassie Marie Edwards is a painter and educator based in Oshkosh, WI. She holds an MFA from Northern Illinois University and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her work plays with the boundaries between the genres of still life and portraiture, high and low art. Cassie describes making this work as a game of visual telephone - paintings of painted porcelain objects; distorted and exaggerated to the point it becomes hard to determine the animals they originally reference. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and more.
