Concept and Experience

The work of well-known sculptors from throughout art history is explored in this workshop. Young artists look at the ideas and materials that made each artist famous, from Claes Oldenburg to Yayoi Kusama to Sarah Sze to Elizabeth Saloka to Tara Donovan. Skill building exercises and final projects are completed using fibers, plaster wrap, found objects, and more.
