Harnessing Color and Design with Hector Acuna
Tues-Thurs, June 30-July 2 | 9am-4pm
Oil | Gouache | All Levels
Members: $425 | Non-Members: $455
Concept
All images, regardless of medium, can be created and understood through the universal languages and concepts of color and design. The ability to read an image through these concepts can be learned and practiced. In this robust three-day studio workshop, students of all levels are invited to learn accessible ways of recognizing and employing principles of composition while practicing functional relationships of color theory.
Experience
Each day Hector introduces underlying concepts prior to hands-on exercises working from still life setups. This workshop is intended for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of designing intentional and compelling compositions while gaining a system for sustained color fluency. The information can be applied to other mediums, methods, and subject matter. Emphasis is placed on understanding the process over a finished product.
Skill Level
All levels welcome. A proficiency in painting is not required, though some drawing experience may be helpful.
