From Plein Air to Print | Ages 7-12

Concept and Experience

Explore PenArt's surroundings in this workshop focused on plein air sketching and studio printmaking. First, young artists sketch plants, animals, and the landscape while out in the field to gather inspiration and source imagery. Back in the studio they learn the basics of creating monoprints, relief prints, and collagraphs based on their sketches, followed by time to experiment with combining processes using hand printing methods. Both single- and multi-color images are created.
