Enameling Panels: Creating Jewelry Inspired Wall Pieces with Barbi Gossen
Saturday, August 29 | 9am-4pm
Metal | All Levels
Members: $195 | Non-Members: $205
Concept
Enameling is the exciting art of fusing glass onto metal. In this one-day workshop, translate your drawing and painting skills to create glass-covered images with layers of luminous enamel. Learn the basics of adding layers of enamel and kiln fusing to transform a bare metal tile into a piece of artwork.
Experience
Demonstrations and guided practice introduce how to work with various enamels, how to use stencils and create layers of depth, and how to add color, line, shape, and texture using more complex painting techniques. Barbi provides individualized instruction throughout the enameling process. Leave this workshop with a finished square panel that can be hung on the wall.
Skill Level
All levels welcome. No prior enameling experience required.
