Concept and Experience
Having an up-to-date website is important to your career as an artist. In this workshop, learn why it's useful (and easier than you might think) to build, curate, and update your own website. Shan explains how she views and utilizes artists' websites as a curator, including how a website serves a different role than an artist's social media. She shares how she maintains her own artist website, her favorite tools and hosting platforms, and guides you in drafting a plan for creating, or improving, your own website. In addition, learn how to optimize images for the web and review how to save and use different images file sizes and formats (pdfs, jpegs, png, tiff). Bring your computer and a notebook or sketchbook.
