Earth + Climate Arts Lab
Presented by Climate Change Coalition of Door County
and Peninsula School of Art
Program Overview
-
The Earth + Climate Arts Lab is designed to ignite a deep appreciation for the natural world, blending artistic exploration with earth and climate science. Students experiment with a variety of art materials while honing their skills in painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture - both individually and collaboratively. The program culminates in a showcase celebrating students' creative work.
-
The Arts Lab is led by Jill Newman, a dedicated art educator who has taught preschool through graduate school throughout LA County, with her very first classes at PenArt over 25 years ago! She holds a BS in Art Education from UW-Madison, an MFA from CalArts, and a Teaching Fellowship from the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA.
