Unleash your inner artisan in this immersive, three-day workshop and dive into creating metal jewelry! This workshop guides you through the captivating process of designing and fabricating your own jewelry. Under the guidance of Linda, learn the essentials of shaping and soldering metal.
Experience
Demonstrations and a hands-on approach covers a wide range of techniques, including fabricating, hammering, roll print texturing, sawing, piercing, and finishing. By bringing together high-quality materials - sterling silver, copper, and bronze or brass, craft one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, such as a pendant, ring, bead, or all three. Come create something beautiful!

Instructor
Linda Seebauer Hansen is a visual artist and educator who creates two- and three-dimensional works in metal and mixed media. She uses a variety of techniques and processes to construct sculpture and jewelry into textural and volumetric works. Her teaching philosophy centers on leveraging her professional experience as an artist and educator to facilitate a supportive classroom where students are mentored to become independent thinkers and skilled makers, connecting personal expression with technical skill. In support of her studio practice, Linda received an Individual Fellowship grant from the Wisconsin State Arts Board and the Barrett Morgan Award for exemplary leadership while the Metals Department Head at the Worcester Center for Crafts (MA). She is also a Women's Art Institute alumni of St. Catherine University (MN) and international craft school resident and studio assistant at Penland School of Craft (NC). Linda holds an MFA from University of Wisconsin-Madison and BA from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. When not in the studio, she enjoys baking biscotti, assisting her rescue dog Charlie in agility, and getting dirty outdoors - gardening, walking in nature, urban biking, and outdoor fires, which includes cooking.
