Concept
Immerse yourself in the fundamentals of acrylic painting in this three-day workshop designed for students who are just getting their start in the medium. Establish your painting toolkit, complete with a foundation in basic color theory and color mixing, paint application, and methods for using acrylic mediums.
Experience
Through demonstrations and skill-building exercises explore traditional and experimental painting techniques. Work toward producing a finished painting prompted by technical exercises. Lydia provides individualized instruction and feedback throughout the painting process. An encouraging group conversation closes each day.

Instructor
Lydia Dildilian’s work translates layered landscapes, found and captured from video games, photographs, and appropriated images into recursive and experimental spaces. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and internationally in Italy, Korea, England, and China. She has mounted sixteen solo exhibitions and contributed to over 50 group and juried shows. Lydia earned her MFA from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is an Assistant Professor of Painting at Arkansas State University where she teaches painting, drawing, and design foundations.
