Family Art Days

Because we believe in fostering the imagination of today’s and tomorrow’s artists (and appreciators), we offer FREE art-making activities for families and school-aged children through our Children’s Outreach Program.

One of the cornerstone projects of our Outreach Program is our monthly Family Art Days held on the on the third Saturday of each month during the school year. We provide the art materials, so you can share the fun and accomplishment of creating fine art projects together. For families with children ages 3 – 17 years old, come and explore the techniques and themes of the current exhibit in the Guenzel Gallery, or create projects that are designed for our annual children’s exhibit, We LOVE Art. Experiment with new media, engage in family-friendly projects, and connect math, science, and history through art.

Drop in the studios anytime between 9am – Noon on the following days:

  • September 17 – Birds of Peace art project
  • October 29 – Mask Making for Fish Creek Jack o’ Lantern Days
  • November 19 – Ceramic bowls for SOUP!, Toys for Tots drop-off
  • December 17 – Ceramic bowls for SOUP!
  • January 21 – We LOVE Art project
  • February 18 – We LOVE Art project
  • March 18 – We LOVE Art project
  • April 15 – Celebrate Earth Day by creating art out of recycled products
